On 5/9/09, Erik Rueckle and Richie Lupo qualified to compete for team New York at the ASICS/Vaughan Junior & Cadet National Championships in Fargo, ND. Erik will compete in the Junior Freestyle Division at 140lbs and Richie will compete in the Cadet Freestyle & Greco/Roman Divisions at 152lbs.  To help defray the cost of their trip, the boys will be selling raffle tickets.  [Raffle.pdf] is a copy of the information sheet that came with the fund raising packet.  This explains more about the raffle drawing and prize, and how much of the $$ from ticket sales goes directly to our boys (up to 60%).

Please support the boys by buying their raffle tickets.  Payment for the trip must be turned in by June 12^th so they must turn these tickets around quickly in order to maximize their fund raising.  I urge you to contact them, their parents or email this website at jlupo@uewrestling.com telling me how many tickets you want to benefit which boy, and I will make arrangements to deliver your tickets and collect your money.

On the evening of Friday July 25th, 2008 UE Wrestling lost it's dear friend and the father of our 2008 103 lb Section Champion when sadly and in the prime of life he was struck down by Cancer.  Please keep Kevin and his children in your hearts and prayers, RIP  Kevin Pembridge.
